Administration

Peter Temes

Our Administration is comprised of dedicated educators who understand and love children. They set the tone for the warm, welcoming atmosphere at Pacific Hills School. Administrators and counselors are easily accessible to students and parents alike, available to address individual needs.

Faculty

An experienced faculty, carefully selected for both competence and compassion, is the heart of our school. Recruited nationally, our faculty mirrors the diversity of our close-knit community. In addition to their instructional duties, teachers serve as counselors, advisors, coaches and friends—people with whom students can share their fears and concerns, their hopes and dreams. At a ball game or dance, during lunch or after school, teachers give freely of their unscheduled time, always available to lend a hand or an ear.

PHS Parents

Parents

Parental involvement is essential to the success of any educational program. Pacific Hills prides itself on an active parent body, involved in the educational process, committed to the principles of the school and eager to participate in its work. Extending far beyond potlucks, our dedicated Parent Association plans and coordinates special events and fundraisers throughout the school year.

Board of Trustees

Pacific Hills, as a non-profit entity, has an active and dedicated Board of Trustees. The board consists of experienced professionals, many of whom are current or alumni parents of the school. Our trustees all share the same commitment to educational excellence, ensuring the long-term well-being and growth of the school.

11TH GRADERS WIN COUNTY VOLUNTEER AWARD

---------------------------------------------

Congratulations to Juniors Kate Rosen and Michael Mulay for co-winning the 2010 L.A. County Arts Commission Student Volunteer of the Year Award. Together, Michael and Kate volunteered for upwards of 70 events, logging over 300 hours in four short months during the Ford Ampitheatre's summer season. "Their seamless integration into the Ford staff proved to be a considerable value to the Arts Commission and to the County," states Bill Berry, Events Service Manager at the Ford. "Michael and Kate also showed their leadership by working with each new volunteer throughout the season...Michael and Kate brought a veritable "youthquake" to the Ford volunteer staff." The pair were honored at a luncheon awards ceremony at the Grand Hall of Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on April 12th.
