International Students

Pacific Hills School has a thriving international student community! This school is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

Our students matriculate to some of the top universities in California, including USC, UCLA and UC Berkeley, as well as colleges and universities across the country.

The application process is similar to that for U.S. citizens and a phone or Skype interview may replace the personal interview. Applicants should be proficient in English; SSAT test results are preferred, but not required.

Pacific Hills has partnered with The Cambridge Institute of International Education to ensure the best possible international program. The Cambridge Institute’s international student program prepares students for life abroad prior to arriving at Pacific Hills School and continues to provide international students with on-going support throughout the school year. All international students coming from China must work through The Cambridge Institute to apply to Pacific Hills. To submit an application or if you have any questions, please contact our consultants at The Cambridge Institute at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Students must live with a guardian in the Los Angeles area or apply for housing through our partner agency, gphomestay. Gphomestay is a residential services and homestay provider that specializes in matching international students with committed, American host families in the community and providing ongoing, local support to both students and hosts. Gphomestay is recognized as a CSIET-approved organization. Residential dormitory services will also be available beginning in the 2016/2017 school year.

Limited spaces are available in 6th-12th grade. Please contact LaDreeya Taylor at (310) 276-3068, ext. 126 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.

HOST AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

Want to learn about a different culture and broaden your horizons without leaving your home? Become a host today and welcome a new member to your family! You are welcome to host a student for one or two semesters, and there is also the possibility of choosing to host again the following year. The students typically study in the United States with the intention of graduating from an American high school.

Host families receive a monthly stipend to cover any costs that arise with having an extra person in their home. Host families also have access to ongoing support from a local Residential Coordinator. If you are interested in becoming a host or looking for more information, please visit gphomestay’s website, www.gphomestay.com, or fill out a Host Inquiry Form at INQUIRY FORM . You can also contact gphomestay directly at (781)996-0429, or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
